On July 01, 2019, at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Medical Psychology of the Shupyk NMAPE was conducted the second phase of training for psychiatrists and psychotherapists "Integration of current science into prevention and treatment of substance use disorders, HIV and co-occurring conditions " within the framework of the project «The Ukraine and Central Asia Addiction Technology TransferCenter» (UCA ATTC) in partnership with San Diego University of California (UCSD) and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) for the acquisition of expertise by professionals and the creation of capacities to restrain the HIV epidemic among people with drug abuse, and other target cohorts.

In each case of chronic pain detection, the attending physician determines its causes, type, character and intensity. In order to assess the pain, the physician should suggest to the patient to determine its level on the visual analog scale from 0 (no pain) to 10 points (pain is unbearable). Morphine is one of the drugs that is prescribed to patients with a chronic pain intensity of 7 to 10 points, or provided that other prescriptive analgesics do not help.
