The international scientific forum Eurasian Teleconference “POST-COVID patient in focus. "Long haulers – who are they?" took place on April 15.

The conference was attended by doctors and scientists from 8 countries from Europe and Asia: Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Lectures at this international scientific forum were given by the staff of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine: Head of the Department Professor Oleg Loskutov and Professor of the Department Oleksandr Halushko.

Professor Oleg Loskutov gave a lecture on the topic "Post-СOVID-19: pathophysiological aspects of therapy", which highlighted the main links of the pathological process in COVID-19 and the mechanisms of coronaviruses influence on various body systems. The speaker also shared his own experience in the treatment of complex patients and outlined future areas of intensive care for post-COVID syndrome.

In another report, Professor of Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Oleksandr Halushko highlighted the topic "Approaches to neurological rehabilitation in patients undergoing post-СOVID-19", which described the new pathology that has emerged and is actively developing as a complication of coronavirus infection. The speaker revealed the features of the clinic and promising methods of treatment and neurological rehabilitation of patients with post-COVID syndrome.

Lectures by representatives of our University were broadcast live on YouTube, aroused great interest and many questions from listeners. 

In total, more than 21,000 doctors and scientists from Europe and Asia took part in the Eurasian Teleconference.
