Traditionally, at the beginning of the year, employees of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care PL Shupyk NMAPE analyze the activities of their team and report on the work done in the past, in 2020. Problems and challenges associated with COVID-19 have complicated the usual rhythm of professional activity of teachers. To solve them, distance learning forms were introduced.

On January 21, 2021, the staff of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care took part in the Eurasian Teleconference "COVID-19 – important issues".

At an extended meeting of the Department of Oncology, in compliance with the quarantine requirements, on January 29, 2021 the analysis of the training of interns in the "Clinical Oncology" specialty was summed. The interns were awarded by certificates of primary specialization.

Today's challenges to the domestic health care system and postgraduate education in the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic require systemic changes in approaches to the choice of methods and formats of training for medical professionals in cycles of thematic improvement.

2 November 2020, Kononets Oksana M., Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology No. 2, was awarded the Knowledge, Heart and Soul Dedicated to People Medal by the Ukrainian Citizen Group "KRAINA" for her diligent work and charity, daily work that saves lives, for the thorough professional expertise, for the heart and soul, put into each patient (Order No. 11, dated 2 November 2020).

This year, at  the end of November , an international congress of modern technologies in treatment and diagnosis patients with diabetes (Diabetes Technology Congress) was held in virtual format. Using new technologies, such as continuous glucose monitoring, pump insulin therapy and other methods, open up new possibilities for achieving and maintaining disease compensation in patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes.
