Associate Professor of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, Oleh Ivashchenko, took part in a career guidance event for students of Secondary School No. 112, dedicated to emergency medical care.

During the meeting, students had the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of an emergency physician’s work, key principles of managing critical conditions, and the specifics of professional training in emergency medicine. Particular attention was paid to response algorithms in urgent situations, the importance of timely intervention, and the role of teamwork within the emergency medical system.

As part of the event, Oleh Ivashchenko presented modern approaches to medical education, emphasizing the practical component of training, the use of simulation technologies, and the importance of continuous professional development. Students also received information about admission opportunities to medical educational institutions and career prospects in the healthcare sector.

The event was held in an interactive format, with students actively asking questions about medical education, professional challenges, and real clinical cases encountered in emergency practice.

The participation of a representative of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine in such initiatives contributes to increasing young people’s interest in medical professions, raising awareness of the importance of emergency medical care, and promoting medical education among school students.
