On February 25, 2019, at the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (the Chief of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor)) was finished the programmatic cycle of thematic improvement "Modern Minimal Invasive Techniques in Phlebology"(2 weeks course), which is popular among listeners, as it allows to get acquainted with modern innovative non-invasive methods of surgical treatment of lower extremities varicose veins and its complications, namely: radiofrequency ablation, endovascular laser coagulation and endovenous electric biowelding, sclerotherapy.

Laparoscopic surgery at the present stage of development of clinical surgery plays a crucial role as a gold surgical standard in urgent and planned abdominal surgery.

On July 01, 2019, at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Medical Psychology of the Shupyk NMAPE was conducted the second phase of training for psychiatrists and psychotherapists "Integration of current science into prevention and treatment of substance use disorders, HIV and co-occurring conditions " within the framework of the project «The Ukraine and Central Asia Addiction Technology TransferCenter» (UCA ATTC) in partnership with San Diego University of California (UCSD) and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) for the acquisition of expertise by professionals and the creation of capacities to restrain the HIV epidemic  among people with drug abuse, and other target cohorts.
