On June 19, 2020 at the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (the Chief of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor)) took place an intermediate attestation of interns (specialty – surgery, second year of studying).

Despite the new conditions and restrictions associated with quarantine, the educational and methodological work of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care continues. And even COVID-19, did not interfere with the participation of employees of the department in training activities for doctors of Ukraine and foreign countries.

June 11 – 12, 2020, the Department of Ophthalmology of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education together with the «Association of Pediatric Ophthalmologists and Optometrists of Ukraine» are passed a scientific-practical conference of pediatric ophthalmologists and optometrists of Ukraine with international participation «You need to see your childhood`2020», which was held online.

During the quarantine period, which probably covered every family in Ukraine, causing a lot of inconvenience to both medical and non-medical families, the Department of Anesthesiology and IT, headed by Professor Oleg Loskutov, decided to create for all interested doctors who even in such difficult times wants to study and walk alongside public medical life, a series of lectures of a professional school-seminar "COVID-19 - an overview of problematic issues."

The start of quarantine through the global and national pandemic COVID-19 changed the principles and approaches in the work of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery (Head of the Department - Prof. Savoliuk S.), and also rearranged all areas of education in a remote format.

According to Oxford Dictionaries, climate emergency can be defined as “a situation in which urgent action is required to reduce or halt climate change and avoid potentially irreversible environmental damage resulting from it”. Evidence shows that human activity and our use of fuels like petrol, diesel, gas, and coal is highly likely to be the main cause of global warming.
