Knowledge management allows people to get the right information to the right person at the right time

English is spoken in some of the most economically and culturally influential countries globally, and over the centuries has become the main language not only of international communication, but of international business, academia, medicine, science, technology and law.

As English language teachers, we need a certain level of proficiency in the language to teach it so we can serve as models for our students, and provide them with valuable language input that can help them learn.

The new academic year began with improvement of methodical skills of our foreign language teachers. In October and November 2021, the teachers of Foreign Languages Department take part in a series of online training sessions ELT perspectives in Higher Education organized by the International Educational and Methodological Center DINTERNAL Education. Webinars open all boundaries in the modern world. Discover new-found knowledge to share together with the students and teachers from all unique kinds. These variations can naturally bring our institution to an increased level. The event is focused on professional development, learning about the latest trends, and discussing current topics in English language teaching. The speakers of the webinars (Graham Jones, Kate Lloyd, Kris Kirby, Hennadii Bilous, Yuliia Kiyanets, Iryna Karamysheva, Olena Mikhodui) shared some ideas and solutions for lost learning, hybrid learning, techno stress, new approaches to classroom management, teaching, monitoring and student engagement.

The presenters gave practical recommendations for all levels of learners including mixed groups of face-to-face and online learners. Since these webinars have come into the limelight, they have become great boon for Foreign Languages Department.

With the speakers of the webinars covering areas from assessment to self-care, there were lots of interesting topics to choose from. The thematic area is different: teaching grammar online to adult learners, reinventing exam preparation, teaching ESP vocabulary, going further into lexis with advanced learners, bringing English to life with authentic video, building confidence outside the classroom.

After completing the training teachers receive certificates of attendance with an indication of 2 academic hours for each session and an individual identification number.
