Today’s realities present unexpected challenges to medical education. The photo captures second-year medical interns from the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care with a course in Pediatric Anesthesiology at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine practicing advanced airway management skills.
The young specialists had the opportunity to refine critically important competencies for an anesthesiologist. Using modern manikins and simulation systems, the department’s faculty created clinical scenarios of varying complexity, allowing interns to practice the use of different devices in cases of difficult tracheal intubation.
The challenging circumstances of today create obstacles for conducting training sessions, yet they have not hindered the educational process. On the contrary, working under such conditions has become an additional exercise in resilience and focus.
Cold walls only temper the character of those who will save lives tomorrow.
Critical situations in anesthesiology do not choose comfortable environments. We prepare specialists who are capable of acting decisively and professionally under any circumstances.
We thank our faculty and interns for their dedication and resilience!
