On January 24, the department of cardiology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine organized and held the first optional educational session for physicians from across Ukraine titled “Expert consilium in comorbid conditions.”

The event was conducted online in real time and was of particular interest to family physicians, rheumatologists, cardiologists, and internists.

Such sessions are held for educational purposes, expanding physicians’ diagnostic capabilities and providing opportunities for the exchange of clinical experience.

The key highlight of the consilium was the scientific and practical lecture delivered by Maryna Dolzhenko, MD, professor, head of the department of cardiology at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, titled:
“Modern treatment paradigms for patients with chronic coronary syndrome, arterial hypertension, and gout. Clinical cases.”

In her presentation, professor Dolzhenko outlined contemporary treatment strategies for patients with chronic coronary syndrome, arterial hypertension, and gout, taking into account updated clinical guidelines and the principles of personalized medicine. Special attention was given to the discussion of real clinical cases demonstrating practical aspects of selecting optimal therapy, rational drug combinations, and prevention of complications.

Following the lecture, a Q&A session took place, during which participants discussed complex clinical scenarios, current challenges in pharmacotherapy, and the specifics of interdisciplinary collaboration.
