The International Genetic Centre, equipped with the state-of-the art molecular genetics and cytogenetics facilities was founded at KMAPE in 2002.
2002 2012
The centre was founded due to the close cooperation of the department and the Director of the Institute of Medical Molecular Genetics, University of Zurich (Switzerland), Honored Doctor of KMAPE, Full Professor Albert Schinzel and his colleagues.
The International Workshop “Application of Advanced Molecular Methods for Diagnosis of Human Genetics Disease” was held together with the Institute of Genetics of the Academy of Sciences of Iran in 2005.
The staff members maintain fruitful relations with the leading geneticists of Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, France, Iran, Poland, the USA, Canada, Japan, Russia, Belarus.
Full Professor N. G. Gorovenko is a member of 4 international specialized scientific associations, expert of the European project “Development, Training and Coordination of the Health-related Projects for Protection of the People Living around Chernobyl Exclusive Zone”.
