The staff members carry out significant research activities, tackling the challenges set in children’s dentistry and introducing the findings into the public health. Since the establishment of the department the staff members have successfully done scientific inquiry on 7 important topics related to improving primary prevention of dental diseases in the youngsters.
There have been defended 2 doctoral, 9 PhD and 2 master’s theses.
There have been published 998 scientific, teaching and methodological works, among them 3 monographs, 17 textbooks, 56 manuals, including the international ones; registered 22 patents for invention, 89 rationalization proposals, 2 expert diagnostic programmes.
The research work “Primary Prevention in the Improvement of Children’s Dental Health: Methodology and Methods” has been performed at the department since 2008.
The employees are the members of academic boards, approbation and specialized councils; they appear on television and speak on the radio, take part in the work of public and professional associations of Ukraine.
