On March 25, 2021, members of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care took part in the National Ukrainian teleconference "Post-COVID: Responding to the Challenges of Our Time", which was attended by about 10,000 doctors from all over Ukraine.

The Teleconference was opened by the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Professor Oleh Loskutov, who made a welcoming speech and recalled to the most significant stages of the development of infusion therapy.

 

Professor O. Loskutov also gave a lecture on the topic "POST-COVID-19: pathophysiological aspects of therapy", in which he highlighted the main links of the pathological process in COVID-19 and the mechanisms of the influence of coronaviruses on various body systems, shared his experience in treating difficult patients and outlined future directions of intensive care of post-COVID syndrome.

 

Also, in the report "New prospects for the development of infusion therapy in asthenic syndrome and diabetes mellitus," Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Alexander Galushko gave a description of the complication of coronavirus infection, forming a new pathology, the study of which is actively developing. The Speaker revealed the features of the clinical picture, risk factors and promising methods of treatment of this new disease, as well as focused on new approaches to the treatment of COVID-19 in patients with diabetes.

 

A report by Marina Treshchinskaya, Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, on the topic: "Correction of microcirculatory disorders in neurology" was devoted to the peculiarities of rendering assistance to patients with a neurological profile.

Professor M. Treshchinskaya examined in detail the aspects of diagnosis and clinical course of microcirculation disorders in diseases of the nervous system, and also analyzed modern approaches to intensive therapy and prevention of these pathological conditions. 

All lectures by the speakers of our University were broadcast live on the YouTube channel and aroused keen interest and a number of questions from the audience.
