From October 30 to November 1, 2025, an online scientific and practical conference with international participation, "Stroke Academy – 2025: Improving the Quality of Care for Acute Cerebral Stroke," was held. The event brought together leading Ukrainian and foreign specialists in the fields of neurology, emergency medicine, neurorehabilitation, and healthcare organization.

The Department of Emergency Medicine of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine took an active part in the conference. The head of the department, Professor Anton Volosovets, gave a presentation on "What to do and what not to do when stroke is suspected at the prehospital stage.”

In his report, Professor Volosovets emphasized the importance of timely recognition of stroke symptoms, algorithms for emergency medical teams, and typical mistakes that can affect patient prognosis. Particular attention was paid to communication between primary care specialists and stroke centers, which is a key factor in improving the effectiveness of acute stroke treatment.

The department's participation in such professional events contributes to the dissemination of modern evidence-based approaches in emergency medical care and improves the level of training of doctors in accordance with international standards.
