The Department of Emergency Medicine of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine announces the start of a series of trainings for doctors from the frontline areas on the topic: "Emergency Sonography. POCUS protocol".
The training is organized with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the international humanitarian organization MedGlobal under the auspices of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.
The purpose of the training is to improve the practical training of medical professionals who work in conditions of limited access to sophisticated diagnostic equipment, but face the need to make urgent clinical decisions on a daily basis. The POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) protocol allows for the effective use of ultrasound directly at the patient's bedside for the rapid diagnosis of life-threatening conditions.
The training sessions include theoretical classes and intensive practical training using modern equipment. The trainers are experienced instructors of the Department (Volosovets A.O., Kramareva O.G., Boiko A.V.), as well as invited specialists with international experience in implementing POCUS protocols in emergency areas (Matveev R.M., Statsenko O.B., Strashna A.O.).
The Department of Emergency Medicine continues to work actively to improve the training of doctors, especially those who work in wartime, providing them with access to advanced techniques and evidence-based medical practice.
