On May 30, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Topical Issues of Emergency Medicine" was held at the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine.

The event was attended by leading national and foreign experts in emergency medicine, anesthesiology, resuscitation, military medicine, disaster medicine and related fields. Among the invited speakers were experts from the United States, India, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Norway, and Mexico, who shared modern approaches to critical care, mass emergency management, and innovative diagnostic and treatment methods.

The conference program was designed to address the current challenges facing Ukraine's healthcare system in the midst of war. The participants discussed tactical medicine, the latest cardiopulmonary resuscitation protocols, algorithms for multiorgan failure, management of critical patients in the field, etc.

Special attention was paid to the psychological health and psychological rehabilitation of victims of war and disasters at a section of the conference held as part of the Mental Health Month initiative. Employees of the Department of Emergency Medicine presented a number of reports on emergency psychological care, PTSD prevention and psychological rehabilitation of victims using canisterapy.

Attention was also paid to interdisciplinary cooperation, staff training and the introduction of simulation training as an effective tool for improving the quality of emergency care.

The Department of Emergency Medicine sincerely thanks all the participants of the conference for their active participation, high professional level of reports and constructive dialogue. We are confident that such scientific and practical events contribute to the strengthening of international cooperation, dissemination of best practices and improvement of the quality of medical care in Ukraine.
