Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine (SNHUU) Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Anton Volosovets presented a report titled “Neurophysiology of Simulation-Based Learning Methods: Why It Works?” during the Spring International Forum Simulation Technologies in Health Care: Spring Forum 2025, which took place in Kyiv at the end of May.
In his report, Professor Volosovets highlighted current data on the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying skill acquisition in a simulation environment, emphasized the role of emotional engagement, memory, and neuroplasticity in the learning process, and presented the results of implementing new simulation strategies in the training of doctors specializing in emergency and urgent medical care.
The forum served as a platform for active interdisciplinary exchange of experience, discussion of innovations in medical education, and the advancement of simulation-based learning as a key element in the safe and high-quality training of medical professionals.
The Department of Emergency Medicine at SNHUU plans to continue its active participation in international scientific and educational events to implement advanced educational technologies in training healthcare professionals in Ukraine.
