On December 6, the department of cardiology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine conducted a series of optional educational sessions focused on current issues in modern medicine. The event became a notable occasion for family physicians, internists, and cardiologists, as the latest diagnostic and therapeutic approaches were discussed.
Dmytro Riabenko, MD, leading research fellow of the department of non-coronary heart diseases, rheumatology, and therapy at the state institution “National scientific center institute of cardiology, clinical and regenerative medicine named after academician M.D. Strazhesko” of the National academy of medical sciences of Ukraine, delivered a lecture entitled “De Novo heart failure with reduced ejection fraction: our clinical approach.” He outlined key diagnostic and treatment algorithms aimed at improving patient survival and quality of life.
The subsequent presentation was dedicated to stroke prevention in accordance with the 2024 AHA/ASA guidelines. Professor Maryna Dolzhenko, MD, head of the department of cardiology at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach and early risk assessment in patients with comorbid conditions.
The event served as an important platform for discussing current clinical challenges and for professional exchange among specialists, providing physicians with modern tools to improve the quality of medical care.
