Recently the first stage of training of clinical psychologists within the project "Psychologist. Physician. Patient" within the framework of the international charity project IZRAAID. Intensive evening webinars became a platform for intensive enrichment, discussions and formation of a community of professionals who will start their practical activity in health care institutions of Ukraine.
During the course the participants discussed key aspects of the work of a clinical psychologist in the medical system: from the peculiarities of multidisciplinary interaction and role in the prevention of post-traumatic stress disorder to the provision of emergency assistance, understanding the neurophysiological basis of psychology and work with children and parents.
This training cycle was the result of the work of the expert community, which brought together professionals inspired by the idea of developing psychological assistance in medicine.
A.O. Volosovets, Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine, was invited from the Shupyk National University of Healthcare of Ukraine to participate in the project as an expert and teacher.
Professor A.O. Volosovets has conducted a series of lectures devoted to emergency psychological support, prevention of post-traumatic stress disorder and the basics of psychophysiology and psychosomatics in the practice of clinical psychologists.
By participating in the project, the project participants not only improved their competencies, but also became part of the professional community, which is actively forming within the framework of the initiative.
After the completion of this stage of training, clinical psychologists will move to the practical part - providing psychological assistance in hospitals, outpatient clinics and specialized medical centers in Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhitomir, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Mykolayiv and Poltava regions.
