ScienceDirect is one of the largest online collections of published scientific research. It belongs to the Dutch publishing house Elsevier. The collection contains almost 12 million items in the platform's access to more than 39 thousand books of the All Access Books collection. The Scopus database was created on the basis of ScienceDirect in 2002.

Articles are grouped into four main sections: physical and technical sciences, natural sciences, medical sciences, and social and human sciences. Abstracts of most articles are freely available.

Thanks to the coordinated work of representatives of Elsevier and the SSTL of Ukraine, all employees of the institutions have the opportunity to work remotely with the ScienceDirect platform without being tied to the IP address of the institution and receive full texts of documents until December 31, 2021, as provided for by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The SSTL of Ukraine has developed instruction on the possibility of remote connection to the ScienceDirect platform for University researchers, provided that they use the University's corporate email for registration (your [email protected]).

Detailed information and advice on setting up such access can be obtained from the Division of Scientific Electronic Resources and IT of the Scientific Library by
