The Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Fetal Medicine was officially founded in April 2010. The creation of the department is the result of many years' work, so its young age shows the high potential and unbreakable hope only, but not the lack of experience and own philosophy.
Fetal medicine is a rapidly growing modern branch of obstetrics in the whole world and, in particular, in Ukraine. The staff members of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Fetal Medicine of NUOZU study and implement the up-to-date approaches to the prevention of fetal diseases, diagnosis of congenital diseases, and treatment of some critical prenatal conditions.
The preventive direction is aimed at determining the risks of congenital malformation in the newborn by the comprehensive evaluation of biochemical and instrumental screening. Perinatal psychology and psychotherapy are the other important branches, because of their studying the mother-child interaction in pregnancy, delivery, postpartum period. To normalize the pregnant woman's state of mind is of great importance in the whole world.
To understand and help as far as possible the bornhuman beings and unborn fetuses are objectives and philosophy of our work.
