The current activities of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine are aimed not only at clinical work, but also at educating a new generation of doctors capable of solving the most complex challenges of modern medicine.
The other day, under the leadership of Professor Oleg Golyanovsky, a scheduled meeting was held dedicated to the analysis of the scientific achievements of interns of the first year of study.
The main attention was paid to various aspects of extragenital pathology in pregnant women. The topics of the reports covered complex cases of combining somatic diseases with obstetric conditions, which requires future specialists to have deep knowledge not only in gynecology, but also in related disciplines. Professor Oleg Volodymyrovych, together with the teachers of the department, listened in detail to each speaker. The high level of training of interns, their ability to work with the current evidence base and critically analyze clinical cases was noted.
Summing up, Professor Golyanovsky emphasized the extreme importance of the selected topics. In modern conditions, it is comorbid conditions that are becoming a key risk factor, so the ability of interns to navigate extragenital pathology is the foundation for reducing maternal and perinatal morbidity.
The department continues to actively implement educational events, where experienced professors transfer knowledge to young doctors, ensuring a high standard of medical care in the future.
