On December 18, 2022, an International multidisciplinary scientific and practical conference «Trishchynskiy Readings» (MAK VII) was held online on the Internet resources of "Likarskyi Osvitnii Portal".

The organizers of the conference were Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine and the Association of Anesthesiologists, Perfusionists and Intensive Care Doctors. The head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Professor Oleg Loskutov addressed the participants of the conference with congratulatory words, who emphasized the importance of such a forum for replenishing the knowledge of young anesthesiologists in today's difficult times. In her speech, Professor Maryna Trishchynska emphasized the importance of the conference, which contributes to the development of clinical thinking and the formation of necessary traits in a specialist who is responsible for human life.

At the sectional meeting "Actual issues of anesthesiology and intensive care" the following topics were discussed: "Strategies of prevention and treatment in difficult situations" (Peter Paal, Austria), methodological aspects of inhalation anesthesia (Professor Oleg Loskutov) and various aspects of the ERAS program in anesthesiology and intensive care (Professors Volodymyr Chernii and Ivan Lisnyi), modern aspects of perioperative safety (Professor Yurii Kobelyatskyi), professional identification of future anesthesiologists (Associate Professor Yurii Markov), the effectiveness of the two-year internship program in anesthesiology and intensive care and the influence of martial law on the education of interns (associate professor Kateryna Bielka ) and others.

As part of the conference, reports of young scientists were heard and a competition was held for the best of them. Among the winners were: 1st place - Maksym Shostak "Perspective of the use of centrally acting analgesics in the postoperative analgesia of patients with the consequences of a severe mine-explosive injury" (Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine); 2nd place - Anastasia Soroka "Renal replacement therapy using the Cytosorb filter as a component of the treatment of patients with combined gunshot wounds and sepsis" (Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy); 3rd place - Oksana Mazur "Search for probable causes of insufficient effectiveness of anticoagulant therapy in patients with a severe course of COVID-19" (Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine). 4 master classes were also held on urgent problems of practical anesthesiology, such as ensuring the airways (associate professor Olga Kramareva), the use of ultrasound in the practice of an anesthesiologist (Madan Narayanan (Great Britain), associate professor Inna Kuchynska), modern aspects of regional anesthesia (associate professor Serhii Byshovets).

The conference aroused lively interest among the listeners, with whom feedback was maintained during the broadcast, while positive feedback was received. 658 participants of the conference were registered. They noted the relevance of the covered problems in modern anesthesiology and intensive care and expressed hope for the continuation of the tradition of holding similar forums in the future.
