The clinical work is carried out at the following bases of the Department of Urology: SI “Institute of Urology of the NAMS of Ukraine”, Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No 6 (“Medmistechko”) and Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 3.
The Full Professors’ and Associate Professors’ rounds are performed at the units. They also carry out clinical, scientific and autopsy conferences, medical consultations. The staff members perform surgery, make daily medical examinations of emergency hospital patients, and work as emergency and ambulance aircraft doctors on duty.
The last three years the innovatory surgery and minimal invasive surgery of patients, which meet the world standards have been implemented at the department, among them:
- monopolar and bipolar transurethral resection of the prostate;
- transurethral resection of the bladder tumours;
- laser prostate vaporization;
- laser ablation of the bladder tumours;
- ureteropyeloscopy;
- fibroscopic nephrolithotripsy;
- laparoscopic operations on ureter, kidney and prostate.
