On 3 July 2026, the Department of Nephrology and Renal Replacement Therapy at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine successfully completed its six-month specialization programme in Adult Nephrology and Pediatric Nephrology. Upon completion of the programme, physicians specializing in internal medicine, pediatrics, and family medicine were awarded qualifications as Adult Nephrologists and Pediatric Nephrologists.
Throughout the programme, participants gained comprehensive knowledge of contemporary approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, and management of kidney diseases. The curriculum incorporated the latest international clinical guidelines, strengthened practical clinical skills, and further developed the clinical reasoning required to deliver high-quality specialized nephrology care.
The educational programme combined in-depth theoretical training with interactive case-based discussions, critical appraisal of current international guidelines, and practical training focused on evidence-based patient management. Particular emphasis was placed on the diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, glomerular diseases, chronic kidney disease–mineral and bone disorder (CKD-MBD), arterial hypertension, anemia, and renal replacement therapies.
The Department sincerely congratulates all graduates on the successful completion of their specialization training and the achievement of an important professional milestone. We are confident that the knowledge, practical competencies, and evidence-based approach acquired during the programme will contribute to improving the quality of nephrology care and facilitate the implementation of international standards in everyday clinical practice.
