Participation of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine in the 7th Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Portugal with International Participation and Scientific and Practical Conference of the International Association for the Study of the Spectrum of Placental Ingrowth (IS-PAS).

With the assistance of IS-PAS and the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Portugal, Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology O. Golyanovsky and his graduate students Sergey Frolov and Dmitry Fedorenko, who study the pathology of placentation, were invited to this international event. Professor O. Golyanovsky made a presentation in English at the conference on the topic: "Comprehensive prevention of massive bleeding in cases of placental ingrowth 3b and 3c in Ukraine".

The speech was accompanied by a video of complex cases of PAS with innovative developments of the department to minimize blood loss and reduce the likelihood of developing traumatic intraoperative complications (injuries to the bladder, intestines). The report was warmly received, given the war in Ukraine, and highly appreciated by foreign colleagues and the president of IS-PAS (Prof. Sally Collins – Great Britain) regarding the latest surgical developments presented by the professor from Ukraine and his postgraduate students, with the participation of a multidisciplinary team of doctors (vascular surgeons, urologists, transfusiologists).

Also, Prof. О. Golyanovsky took part in the discussion of urgent issues and further developments in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of PAS cases at the 7th Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Portugal with international participation and had professional discussions with leading obstetricians and gynecologists from Europe and America.
