On October 30–31, 2025, an international symposium entitled "Neurological, Psychiatric, and Narcological Care in the Context of Today's Challenges" was held, bringing together leading experts in the fields of neurology, psychiatry, narcology, emergency medicine, and medical rehabilitation.

Representatives of the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine took an active part in the scientific event.

The head of the department, Professor Anton Volosovets, gave a presentation on "Modern approaches to the correction of neuropathic pain," in which he presented current strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of neuropathic pain, particularly in patients after trauma and combat, and emphasized the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to the management of such patients.

Professor Ivan Zozulia also gave a scientific presentation on "Actions of emergency medical personnel in cases of traumatic bleeding and shock." The presentation covered algorithms for providing assistance in cases of massive bleeding and traumatic shock, modern tactical approaches, and the use of tourniquets and hemostatic agents in the practice of emergency medical teams.

The participation of department faculty in such scientific forums promotes the exchange of experience, improves the professional level of medical workers, and introduces modern evidence-based approaches into the system of postgraduate education for doctors in Ukraine.
