On September 5, 2025, the educational project NephroHub hosted the masterclass “Emergencies in Nephrology and Urology. Part II”, organized in partnership with the Department of Nephrology and Renal Replacement Therapy.

The event brought together nephrologists, urologists, and physicians of related specialties. Participants explored modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of emergency conditions, earned 4 CME credits, and fulfilled the mandatory continuing professional development requirement in Emergency Medical Care.

The program covered a broad range of urgent issues, including acute coronary syndromes, kidney dysfunction associated with heart failure, complications during hemodialysis, acute kidney injury in patients with CKD, contrast-induced kidney injury, and complications in peritoneal dialysis.

The masterclass was attended by physicians from various fields — family medicine, internal medicine, nephrology, urology, cardiology, endocrinology, anesthesiology, and emergency medicine. This wide scope reflects clinical reality: emergencies can occur in any patient, whether on dialysis or not, and therefore doctors of all specialties may face them in daily practice.

Active audience engagement was a hallmark of the event. Numerous questions were raised, addressing both emergencies in dialysis patients and urgent problems in those not yet receiving renal replacement therapy. This lively discussion highlighted the practical value of the masterclass and confirmed the strong interest of physicians in strengthening their expertise in emergency care.
