October is recognized worldwide as Breast Cancer Awareness Month – a time when the medical community draws public attention to the importance of early detection, prevention, and effective treatment of the most common cancer among women globally.
On October 3, Associate Professor of the Department of Oncology at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, PhD Anastasiia Samusieva, took part in the international conference UkraineOncoGlobal, dedicated to current trends in oncology development and innovative approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors. As part of the conference, Anastasiia Samusieva moderated the session “Breast Cancer” and delivered a presentation on the topic: “Prospects for the Use of Predictive Markers in the Treatment of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer.” In her presentation, she addressed current issues of personalized therapy and discussed the potential of predictive markers to improve treatment outcomes for patients with triple-negative breast cancer.
The Department of Oncology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine actively supports initiatives aimed at raising cancer awareness among physicians and the general public. The department continues to develop its scientific and educational activities in oncology, contributing to the implementation of modern evidence-based approaches in clinical practice.
Effective fight against breast cancer is possible by joining forces of the medical community, researchers, patients, and society. Only through collective action – by increasing awareness, improving educational programs, advancing scientific research, and ensuring access to modern treatment methods – can significant progress be achieved in reducing mortality and improving the quality of life of patients.
