In the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the Vyshgorod Central Regional Hospital as one of the clinical bases of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, another surgical intervention to correct complete genital prolapse was successfully performed with the participation of Professor of the Department Golyanovsky O.V., Head of the Department Gubar I.A. and PhD Student Frolov S.V.
The operation was performed using the modern 10-stage method of M. Stark and co-authors (2022) in the author's modification of the department, using the latest energies - a monopolar radio wave scalpel and a ligature system. This approach allowed to significantly reduce the operation time, blood loss and accelerate postoperative recovery. The patient underwent a total vaginal hysterectomy with levatoroplasty and posterior perineal plastic surgery. The postoperative period passed without complications, tissue repair per primam.
Scientific studies of the department confirm the effectiveness of using the patient's own tissues for vaginal hysterectomy without the use of synthetic mesh prostheses. This approach allows you to avoid a number of complications and reduces the risk of recurrence of genital prolapse, which according to the literature can be 8-10% when using mesh materials. Thus, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology continues to actively introduce innovative methods into clinical practice, combining modern scientific developments with a high level of practical training of doctors. This contributes to improving the quality of medical care for women and the development of modern Ukrainian gynecological surgery.
