The Department of Emergency Medicine of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine joined the Mental Health Month initiative, which is being implemented within the framework of the state program "How are you?".
During the cycle of thematic improvement "Emergency Conditions in Medical Practice", the students had the opportunity to listen to special lectures on the provision of emergency psychological care, as well as the prevention of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The lectures were aimed at developing doctors' primary skills in psychological support for patients in crisis, identifying signs of acute psycho-emotional disorders, and timely response in emergency situations.
The Department continues to actively promote mental health as an integral part of comprehensive medical care. We are convinced that knowledge in this area is critically important for every doctor, especially in the context of increasing levels of stress and trauma in the population.
