The XXVI World Congress of IFSO 2023 this year took place from August 29 to September 1, 2023 in Naples, Italy. It was a huge surgical event with 3454 participants from 152 countries presented 1,019 presentations, there were 365 invited speakers, and 54 companies exhibited their products for the surgical treatment of obesity and metabolic disorders.

There was one participant from Ukraine who represented our university at the Congress - Professor of the Department of General and Emergency Surgery KOLESNIKOV E.B. presented materials on mini-invasive operations for the treatment of morbid obesity

Also included in the Congress program were 9 very interesting professional bariatric courses and master classes, 51 scientific sessions, 17 video sessions showing 179 videos of various surgical interventions. Some organizational aspects were very interesting and, in particular, the display of 495 poster reports over 3 days of the congress on 12 monitors, on which all conference materials were displayed and using a special QR code downloaded to your phone or computer, you could view all the reports.

Participants of the Congress could enjoy not only the informative and useful information received during the scientific sessions, but also the beautiful nature and historical places of Naples due to the tours offered by the organizers around the city and to the Vesuvius volcano.
