Ponomarova Olga, Born in 1959.

In 1982, she graduated from the Pediatric Faculty of the Kiev Medical Institute as a pediatrist. In 1982-1988 she worked as a district pediatrician in a Kyiv children's hospital № 11. From 1988 to 1999, she worked as oncologist of the Department of Systemic Tumor Diseases of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

In 1996 she received a PhD degree in oncology. Since 1999 she has been working as a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology named after R. E. Kavetsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Since 1999 she has been the high qualification category oncologist.

In addition to medical and advisory work, Olga  responsibilities include clinical scientific research. The spectrum of her scientific interests is the treatment of malignant lymphoma, chemotherapy of  different solid tumors, prevention and correction of chemo-radiation therapy complications, palliative and symptomatic treatment of terminal stages of the tumor process. Methodical work occupies an important place in the work of O.V.Ponomarova. In co-authorship with experts in the field of experimental and clinical oncology, it has been prepared reference and information systems, methodical recommendations, monographs and manuals on chemotherapy of malignant neoplasms, supportive therapy, correction of chemo-radiation therapy complications, analgesic therapy of cancer patients.

The research results became the basis of 116 publications, including 7 monographs, 3 textbooks, 8 methodical recommendations, 8 manuals, 80 articles in professional editions. Participated in 45 multi-center international clinical trials as chief researcher and co-investigator. An important part of her work considers the local antitumor drugs clinical trials.
