On the basis of the Feofaniya Clinical Hospital, on April 17, 2019, the British-Ukrainian Symposium (BUS-11) on Anesthesiology and Intensive Care dedicated to innovative technologies and methods in anesthesiology and intensive care" was launched. The organizers of the forum: Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education named after PL Shupyk and Clinical Hospital "Feofaniya".



The event traditionally preceded the reading of the course of refreshing lectures by leading foreign and domestic anesthesiologists. So, on the first day of the forum, lectures were delivered by representatives of France (Arnaud Poully), Germany (Christian Hönemann), Venugopal Reddy (USA), Halide Hande Sahinkaya (Turkey).

Also conducted the master classes by J.M. Allwood (USA), I. Ribinkina (Great Britain) and domestic experts. The reports of foreign speakers are translated into Ukrainian in a consistent way, enabling students to master the material in full. The program of the symposium includes the following topics: practical aspects of the work of an anesthetist such as rapid sequence induction, newest aspects of mechanical ventilation in anesthesiology, modern British, European and American approaches to intensive care in neurosurgery, neurology, acute poisoning, etc. The symposium is of great popularity among domestic physicians (not only anaesthesiologists, but also representatives of other medical specialties, as well as middle medical workers (especially among anesthetists). On the first day of the forum, 521 participants from all regions of Ukraine were registered. The symposium continues to work according to the program.
