In the atmosphere of an exciting celebration, on April 18, 2019, the official opening of the Eleventh British-Ukrainian Symposium (BUS 11) took place at the conference hall of the "Feofaniya" CH. The ceremony was attended by: Vice-chancellor for scientific and pedagogical work of NMAPE named after PL Shupyk, professor Tolstanov O.K., head physician of the "Feofaniya" I. Semenov, head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Academy, professor O. Loskutov, authoritative specialists of the anesthesiologists from the USA - Laurence Torsher and John Abenstein, Roman Gregg - initiator of the project, president of the Ukrainian Medical Association of Great Britain.



Already on the first day of the forum more than 1,000 domestic and four participants from abroad registered. Famous domestic and foreign speakers, mostly from the UK, USA, Germany, France and Turkey, are presented at numerous sectional meetings, workshops and master classes. The forum has attracted a great deal of interest among Ukrainian anesthetists, as it is here that one can get acquainted with the most modern technologies, advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills of such an urgent and extremely important medical specialty, which today has anesthesiology and intensive care. At the end of the first day of the forum an intellectual game program was conducted, where, among other special resonance, an anesthetic brain-ring was added (for the first time in Ukraine!).

The latter gathered four teams from different cities of Ukraine. The team of anesthetists of the capital of Ukraine won; in the second place the team from Lviv, in the third place - the team from Poltava.

Closed the prominent four team of the city of Dnipro. The highlight of the symposium was a cultural program with the participation of well-known singers and musicians in the country. The forum continues its work. The program BUS 11 can be found at: www.anaesthesiaconference.kiev.ua
