Research by Obstetrics and Gynecology Interns Presented at the 30th European Congress of Perinatal Medicine
The 30th European Congress of Perinatal Medicine took place in Warsaw on 16–19 September 2026. Its scientific programme featured work involving Yaroslav Guley and Kateryna Ostrovets, third-year interns at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.
Yaroslav Guley co-authored an oral presentation on preventing isthmocele by modifying the technique used to close the uterus after cesarean section. Kateryna Ostrovets co-authored a poster on cesarean section techniques in patients with morbid obesity. Both works were prepared under the supervision of Professor Oleg Golyanovskiy, MD, DSc, of the Department. Professor Golyanovskiy delivered the oral presentation at the Сongress.
The presentation and poster attracted interest from Congress participants, and their presentation was documented by congress certificates. Engaging young physicians in research is an important part of the department’s work.
