On June 5, 2026, the Department of Emergency Medicine at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine organized and conducted the international scientific and practical conference titled “Actual Issues in Emergency Medicine.”

The event brought together physicians of various specialties, researchers, academic staff of higher medical education institutions, and healthcare professionals interested in implementing modern approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of emergency medical conditions.

The conference addressed key issues related to the organization of medical care for patients with urgent conditions, modern clinical algorithms, innovative approaches to the management of critical illnesses, as well as prospects for the development of emergency medicine in Ukraine and globally. Particular attention was given to the implementation of evidence-based medicine principles in everyday clinical practice and improving the quality of healthcare delivery.

Leading Ukrainian and international experts participated in the conference, presenting the results of their research, clinical experience, and current recommendations for the management of patients with emergency conditions. The format of the event facilitated active professional dialogue, discussion of complex clinical cases, and exchange of experience among participants.

The conference served as an important platform for continuing professional development of healthcare professionals and contributed to the dissemination of up-to-date scientific knowledge among specialists in the field of healthcare. Participants had the opportunity to obtain Continuing Professional Development (CME) credits in accordance with current regulations.

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine continues to actively develop educational and scientific initiatives aimed at enhancing physicians’ competencies, implementing innovative treatment approaches, and improving the healthcare delivery system in Ukraine.
