In early May 2026, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the P. L. Shupyk National University of Obstetrics and Gynecology held important scientific events - professional seminars, at which the results of dissertation research by two promising young scientists were presented.

Both works were carried out under the supervision of the professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a well-known scientist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Oleg Volodymyrovych Golyanovsky.

On May 5, 2026, a professional seminar was held by postgraduate student Frolov Serhii Volodymyrovych. The topic of his dissertation research: "Prevention and therapy of perinatal complications in pregnant women with sleep disorders." The work is devoted to studying the influence of sleep quality on the course of pregnancy and the condition of the fetus. The report highlighted new approaches to the correction of insomnia in pregnant women as an important factor in the prevention of obstetric pathology, which is of great importance for modern practical medicine.

On May 7, 2026, graduate student Vorona Roman Mykolayovych presented his scientific work. The topic of the report: "Optimization of treatment and prevention of atonic postpartum hemorrhage with the introduction of innovative hemostasis methods." The study focuses on one of the most acute problems of modern obstetrics. The author presented the introduction of the latest surgical and pharmacological methods for stopping bleeding, which allow significantly improving treatment outcomes and preserving women's reproductive health.

An active scientific discussion took place during the seminars. The members of the commission and the scientists present noted the high relevance of the selected topics, the thoroughness of the research conducted, and their practical value for the healthcare system of Ukraine. According to the results of the professional seminars, both works were recommended for further stages of defense for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
