On February 12, 2026, the scientific and practical conference "Health Care for the Working Population" began, organized by the State Institution "Y.I. Kundiev Institute of Occupational Medicine of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" together with partners. The event is dedicated to strategic issues of preserving the health of the working population in the conditions of war and post-war reconstruction of the state.
The head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Anton Volosovets, participated in the conference as a co-organizer and speaker.
Today, occupational health is seen not only as a component of medical care, but also as a systemic element of national security, economic stability, and human capital preservation. In the context of military challenges, the working population is the foundation for the country's recovery, which necessitates an interdisciplinary approach to the prevention of disability, rehabilitation, and mental health support.
The scale of the event is confirmed by the participation figures: over 40,000 registered participants from all regions of Ukraine; about 1,500 master class attendees; representatives from every region of Ukraine.
This conference created a professional platform for the prevention of loss and restoration of working capacity, integration of mental health and rehabilitation components into the occupational health and safety system, implementation of evidence-based models for preserving human potential, and strengthening national resilience through investment in the health of the working population.
