On October 2-3, 2025, near Uzhgorod, in the hotel complex "Zolota Hora", the Annual Plenum of the NGO "Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine" and the Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Obstetrics, Gynecology, Reproductive Medicine: Present and Prospects" were held. The event brought together more than 500 specialists from different regions of Ukraine and representatives of seven countries of the world, including leading scientists, practicing physicians, and healthcare organizers. The conference traditionally combined plenary and sectional sessions, simulation trainings, master classes, as well as testing for continuous professional development (CPD) points.

Among the active participants of the conference were representatives of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the P. L. Shupyk National Institute of Health of Ukraine, Professor Oleg Golyanovsky, and postgraduate students Serhiy Frolov and Dmytro Fedorenko. Professor Golyanovsky delivered three reports, which were devoted to the clinical aspects of modern obstetrics and gynecology: “Double placenta in single pregnancy: risk of complications”; “Complete genital prolapse complicated by acute dysfunction of the pelvic organs (clinical case)”; “Evaluation of clinical effectiveness of various methods of performing cesarean section in morbid obesity” (co-authored with Assoc. Prof. O.V. Morozova and postgraduate student R.M. Vorona). In addition, Professor Oleg Golyanovsky participated in the simulation training together with Professor Dmitry Konkov “Early Postpartum Bleeding: Life-Saving Algorithm”, where he acted as a trainer at the station “Surgical Methods of Stopping Bleeding” and during the final debriefing.

Postgraduate student Serhii Frolov presented the results of his own study “Early Signs of Gestational Complications in Pregnant Women with Sleep Disorders and Their Correction”, which aroused keen interest among colleagues and became a continuation of the scientific work of the department in the direction of preventing perinatal complications.

Postgraduate student Dmytro Fedorenko gave a report “Optimization of the Method of Performing Cesarean Section for Placenta Accreta Spectrum”, in which he presented improved surgical approaches to reduce the risk of massive bleeding and improve the results of treatment of pregnant women at high obstetric risk.

The participation of the department's representatives in this prestigious event once again demonstrated the high level of scientific and clinical training of the team, and also contributed to the strengthening of professional and international ties in the field of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine.
