At the annual European Society of Cardiology Congress (ESC Congress 2025), held in Madrid, representatives of the Department of Cardiology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine took an active part in the scientific program: Head of the Department Professor Maryna Dolzhenko, Professor Yurii Sirenko, and Professor Maksym Sokolov.

Professor Maryna Dolzhenko served as the chair of two electronic presentation sessions dedicated to preventive cardiology.

During the special Ukrainian scientific session, Professor Maksym Sokolov delivered a presentation on the current state of interventional cardiology in Ukraine, while Professor Yurii Sirenko gave a lecture on the future development of medicine in our country.

Special attention at the Congress was devoted to the presentation of the new ESC Clinical Guidelines, which define the current approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

The ESC Congress traditionally remains the largest annual event in the field of cardiology, where the results of leading scientific studies are presented and international clinical standards are formed.
