In May 2025, the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine took an active part in the international scientific and practical forum British-Ukrainian Symposium (BUS-2025), one of the leading events of the year in the field of anesthesiology and intensive care.

Within the framework of the symposium, Associate Professor Olga Kramareva and Assistant Professor Alina Boyko held a master class on the topic:

"Low-flow anesthesia: from basics to subtleties. Protective approaches to mechanical ventilation in the operating room".

During the master class, the participants learned about the modern principles of low-flow anesthesia, its advantages in clinical practice, and protective strategies for mechanical ventilation in the operating room. Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of implementing evidence-based approaches, taking into account patient safety and resource efficiency.

The participation of the Department in the symposium was another confirmation of the high level of professional training, scientific activity and involvement in the international professional community.

The Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine is grateful to the organizers of the symposium for the opportunity to join the exchange of knowledge and experience for the further development of medical education and clinical practice in Ukraine.
