The World Congress of Heart and Lung Transplantologists (ISHLT meeting 2025), was held in Boston, USA, in which the transplant team of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, X-ray Endovascular and Extracorporeal Technologies, Head of the Department Borys Todurov, Associate Professor Serhii Sudakevych, and graduate student Sofia Chaikovska participated and represented our country.

Sofia Chaikovska was the speaker in the Women in Transplantation session. She shared her professional path in surgery and talked about the work of our team in wartime.

Also at the conference, a poster presentation "The Use of Marginal Donor Hearts in Heart Transplants" was presented, which aroused significant interest from the global medical community. Even in difficult times, Ukrainian experience remains valuable for global medicine.
