An intensive practical training session on tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) following the ASM (All Service Members) protocol was recently held at the Shupyk National University of Healthcare of Ukraine. The event brought together 26 postgraduate students and medical specialization trainees who underwent a 10-hour hands-on course focused on life-saving interventions in combat environments.

The training was conducted by Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Professor Anton Volosovets, Associate Professor Olga Kramareva, and certified tactical medicine instructor Tetiana Bedrina.

The program combined essential theoretical knowledge with extensive practical exercises covering the full range of TCCC skills. Participants practiced hemorrhage control, airway management, respiratory support, circulation assessment, and casualty evacuation under simulated combat conditions.

Such training is vital in preparing future healthcare professionals to provide rapid and effective medical care in high-stress, high-risk situations. The Department of Emergency Medicine continues to prioritize practical readiness and plans to expand similar training programs to further enhance the capabilities of medical personnel in emergency and combat settings.
