Within the framework of the memorandum on cooperation between the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine and the AREVA Research Institute (USA, Texas), on February 13-15, 2024, a symposium / workshop "Ukrainian Research Needs and Opportunities" was held in the city of Warsaw, in which the participation of the head of the Department of Disaster Medicine and Emergency Medicine, Professor Georgy Roschin, and the associate professor of this department, Ivan Slychko.

During the meetings, the director of the Areva Scientific Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas, Andriy Bachynskyi, gave a report on the prospects and cooperation with the Department of Military Surgery of the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy and the Department of MK and VMP of our University.

 The report was supplemented by the chief surgeon of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, colonel of the medical service Kostyantyn Humenyuk, professor Georgy Roschin and associate professor Ivan Slychko. Reports of leading US military medical scientists were also heard on improving and optimizing the provision of medical care to the wounded and civilians at the stages of evacuation, the wider use of advanced innovations, namely, vascular prostheses made of biomaterials and portable devices for resuscitation in field conditions and during evacuation. All these modern developments can be improved and presented in the future joint scientific and research developments of Ukraine and the USA.
