The main clinical base of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery ( Head of the Department – professor Savoliuk  S. I.) is surgery departments KNP Kiev City Clinical Hospital №8, where, with the support of the administration ( The Head – correspondent member of NAMS of Ukraine, professor Khomenko I. P.), conditions are created  for solution highly complex surgical tasks, supports different surgical initiative and innovation about permanent extension spectrum of surgical interventions.

With the direct participation of the Head of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery Shupyk NHU of Ukraine the professor Savoliuk S.I. there is a constant increasing  the  list of performed surgical interventions in the hospital, because complicated surgical cases and situations require multidisciplinary approaches in combinations with expert professional surgery.

Along with embedded minimally invasive multi-vector urgent and planned abdominal and pelvic surgery, minimally invasive phlebology, herniology and coloproctology, bariatric surgery, radical and palliative oncosurgery the more active development becomes increasing of surgical interventions of endocrine pathology and this is not limited just embedded of the multidisciplinary modern approaches about surgery of diabetic foot syndrome and its complications.

Within a short term there was an increase number of laparascopic and open interventions of the adrenal glands and thyroid gland.

Realization of this complicated surgical cases is carried out on the background the strengthening and deepening interdepartmental interaction of the leading surgical Departments  of our university – The Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery  and The Department of Surgery and Transplantology, in particular close cooperation  in the operating room of the Head of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery, the professor Savoliuk S. I. and the Head of the Department of Surgery and Transplantology, the correspondent member of NAMS of Ukraine, professor Kovalenko A. Ye., which contributes to accumulation of surgical experience and increases the attractiveness of our departments to attract listeners into cycles, of thematic improvement and specialization, to our university.
